It is necessary to take prior permission from the Meppadi forest office before going trekking at Chembra. Forest officers do not allow to camp overnight here as there is a threat from lurking wild animals.

There are many peaks near Chembra Peak but it is difficult to climb. Visiting this peak all year round is worth it for you. It is a bit difficult to descend the peak on monsoon as it is slippery. Private and public transport is easily available for travelers to reach this hot spot. Nilgiri hills in Tamil Nadu and Vallarimala in Kozhikode are adjoined by this peak. Entry fees are taken from visitors for trekking and a minimum of five people are required to book this trek.
